Winning Legislation As we pressed the UN for internationally binding agreements, we also pressed individual governments for national legislation to measure and value unwaged work – and in Trinidad & Tobago (1996) and Spain (1998) we won! These victories built on legislation drafted and presented many years earlier, in the UK (1995) and in the US (1993) – which were debated but not passed, and a Report passed by the European Parliament (1992).
