SMSD is a network of mothers and other carers of different races and backgrounds. We are single, widowed, separated, divorced, with or without disabilities, teenagers, grandmothers, immigrant and refugees, queer, foster mothers, some of us have disabled children, some are separated from our children, some of us have been in detention or prison . . . We share experiences, support each other, and campaign for our rights.
