NO SCHOOL APARTHEID
Although the Clause to segregate the children of asylum seekers from mainstream schools was passed as part of the Nationality Immigration & Asylum Bill a big question remains over whether it can be implemented due to the widespread and ferocious grassroots anti-racist movement which was uncovered by campaigning on this issue. The government has not found one organisation ready to support segregated education. We are focusing on stopping the implementation of the government’s plans, including calling for non-co-operation from those Blunkett will depend on to open the accommodation centres.
