Produced by: Every Mother is a Working Mother Network & Scribe Video Center, Sept 2010. 17 min. NTSC.

This film is heartbreaking but inspirational. It shows mothers and grandmothers, Black and white, exploding the myths of child “protection”. It is clear that good and loving moms are losing their kids to a system that is selling poor children for profit and prejudice. Pat Gowens, Editor, Mothers Warriors Voice.

Showings: Phila Dec 3; San Fran Dec 5, Santa Cruz Dec 7; LA Dec 11

You created a beautiful piece of art that gives an in-depth picture of what is going on in this city for poor families. A tear-jerker. A powerful tool for pushing forward advocacy and legislation. Bold and fierce voices! Philadelphia, PA

This film tells the truth. I had my three kids taken even though I never neglected them. We need to get this crime publicized around the country. Milwaukee WI

After watching the DHS movie I see that some moms are receiving 19th century treatment--right out of Dickens. There is no excuse. We can do better. Raleigh, NC

I feel outraged that this is happening across the country. There is no way we should stand for this brutal separation of families.
